our Subaru’s built in our zero-waste factory, to our involvement with Idaho
Botanical Garden and the World’s Center for Birds of prey- being green isn’t a
trend, it’s who we are.
What is a Water-Wise landscape?
Water-Wise landscaping is a planning and gardening technique
that allows you to:
- Reduce your landscape water usage by 50% to 60%
- Spend less time on garden maintenance
- Create a beautiful natural garden
How did we do it?
Our partnership with the Idaho Botanical Gardens exposed our
team to the possibility of doing more to conserve water. Not only could we do more
to conserve water at the dealership, we could bring in native drought tolerant
plants that would enhance the appearance of the store.
Toby Mancini, the Director of Horticulture at the garden,
came to Larry H. Miller Subaru. He looked at our space, understood what we
wanted to accomplish, and created a plan to make it all work.
Toby then put us in contact with Jason Doran with Willowglen
Landscape. Jason and his team took the Larry H. Miller Subaru vision, Toby’s
plan for the space, and made it a reality. It was clear that Jason cared about
the project. He and his team created a beautiful space that our employees and
customers will enjoy for years to come.
